Meet Michael

Michael Larsen is HR-EQ’s senior employment law advisor. Michael provides HR-EQ consultants with legal guidance, suggests risk mitigation strategies, guides workplace investigations, and collaborates on projects requiring a legal review.

Michael brings over 35 years of experience as a licensed California attorney, with expertise in employment and labor law. He has extensive experience in training, advising, litigation and handling all types of employment law matters across a wide range of workplace issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, leave compliance, reasonable accommodations, investigations, employee grievances, disciplinary decisions, and whistleblower claims.

Throughout his career, Michael has successfully handled all aspects of employment law disputes, including negotiations, settlements, FLSA hearings, mediations, equal employment opportunity trials, and advocated in disciplinary appeals before state and federal administrative courts, arbitrations, and court trials.

Michael’s strategic approach to labor law, combined with his ability to assess risks and craft well-reasoned legal solutions, has consistently helped clients mitigate liability and maintain compliance.
