Why EQ?

Throughout her career journey, Julia discovered that successful HR/OD Consulting isn’t only about applying employment laws or driving business results. Exceptional leadership, consulting, or human resource management requires mastering and applying the four skills of Emotional Intelligence: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship building. In fact, top business schools including Harvard, Loyola Marymount, University of Chicago, and Dartmouth promote self-awareness as the first step in their leadership programs. The Stanford Graduate School Advisory Council rated self-awareness as the most important capability for leaders — higher even than strategic thinking or team building.

HR professionals and business leaders are tasked with tough responsibilities — managing conflict, delivering difficult messages, addressing performance issues, and making hard decisions. To navigate these challenges successfully, it’s crucial to remain calm, be empathic, recognize their own blind spots, and remain objective while ensuring others feel understood.

HR-EQ seamlessly weaves emotional intelligence into consulting, coaching, and training so clients can effectively overcome workplace challenges and lead their teams, departments, and organizations through growth, change, and ultimately, to success.
